Kansas Speedway is not directly connected to a regular public transport network, so most visitors choose to arrive by car, stay at nearby campsites, or use rideshare services. However, there are still a few options for fans who prefer to travel by bus or train and complete the final part of the journey by taxi, shuttle, or rental car.
During major NASCAR weekends, shuttle buses operate between selected parking areas, campgrounds, and the Speedway entrances. Services usually begin several hours before the race and continue after the event until the parking areas are cleared. While queues can form after the race, they tend to move steadily once boarding starts.
Although the Speedway itself is not served by city buses, long-distance providers such as Greyhound and Megabus operate routes to downtown Kansas City, Missouri, located around 20 minutes from the circuit. From there, visitors will need to use a taxi, rideshare service, or rental car to reach the track.
Amtrak services stop at Kansas City Union Station, also roughly a 20-minute drive from the Speedway. The station is served by the Southwest Chief line (Chicago–Los Angeles) and the Missouri River Runner (St. Louis–Kansas City). From Union Station, fans can continue their journey by taxi, rideshare, or car hire.
If you plan to arrive in Kansas City by bus or train, it is recommended to arrange your onward transport in advance, especially during race weekends when demand for rideshare services and rental cars can be high.
